Type of SKI to Know
BPOM regulates two types of SKI for imported products:
- SKI Border
Required for the import of medicines, natural medicinal products, quasi-drugs, health supplements, and cosmetics into Indonesia. - SKI Post Border

To determine if an HS Code requires SKI, follow these steps:
- Visit the Official Website
Access the website at http://intr.insw.go.id/. - Select Menu Options
- Click on “Indonesia NTR.”
- Select the “HS Code Information” option.
- Enter the HS Code
- Choose the parameter “HS Code.”
- Input the HS Code you want to check, and click “Search” to get information about the required permits.
Additional Requirements for SKI Border
According to Article 25 of BPOM Regulation No. 28 of 2023, applications for SKI Border for natural medicinal products, quasi-drugs, health supplements, or cosmetics must meet the following conditions:
- The product name, packaging, and packaging size listed on the invoice must match those on the marketing authorization.
- If the product name differs from the marketing authorization, a statement letter from the manufacturer must be attached.
- Attach other certificates or letters required under applicable regulations.
